No bo day #3

No bo day#3 we woke up and headed down to the truck which got stuck in the mud! It took us 20 mins and 3 village people andd we knocked over a pumpkin growing thing. We headed off to the blessed home orphanage and right when i got out of the car 2 girls about 10yrs old came up to me and called me beautiful and then the one name cha lee gave me a hug! It was cute! So then we toured their orphanage. We left to go eat and then came back and all the kids jumped into the pickup truck. In all we had 23 people in one little pick up...it was like a clown car. We got to the grace boarding school and started playing games...it was absolute chaos 38 little kids running around! Then we passed out snacks and the kids here are so grateful every one of them said thank you and but their hands together and bowed a little. If i was in america kids would every now and then say thank you, but these are little 4yr olds and older being so polite and grateful. Anyway after snack they started playing soccer in a lot of mud which was entertaining to watch! And then after dinner and a church service we had another truck so there werent as many but in the cab of our truck we had 8 people when it usually fits 4-5. It was fun!

New friends!

I met these two lovely people who lived in australia and picked up everything left their two college kids and moved to mae sot to help and be a teacher/english teacher! They had really cool accents and very interesting stories about snakes going into their house...very deadly poisonous snakes! Theyre very funny, caring, nice, energetic people that everyone should be able to meet!

In noh bo! Theres spiders everywhere and i didnt notice, until my mom goes "caiden stay calm, youre gonna have to deal with it" and i just knew she was talking about spiders and i freaked out screamed and kinda started tearing up. They are the biggest spiders i have ever seen!!

Dogs freely run around the hospitol this one was pretty cute
This is the medical records....theres sooo many shelves in there
Poster telling woman why not to get pregnant, 1) they lose their job 2, contractions are painful 3) pushing the baby out is painful 4)they are kinda annoying 5) hard to provide for them 5) cant participate as much
This is the prosthetic workshop. Most people in burma need prosthetics because from the civil war over here there are still a ton of landmines that keep blowing people up. Also sometimes if someone or a child breaks a bone they just cut off the arm, leg, or whatever they broke
This is the malaria room, this tells you how many people get it. Malaria here is as common as the common cold in america

LUNCH

We counted 69 stray dogs from the airport to the hotel in maesot but we cant pet any cause most have rabies
The plane to maesot was very tiny and we took a bus and had to go up steps to get into it. They fed us pretzels with hotdog in them, which was my favorite snack out of all the planes! This was only a 1 hr 10 min ride. Although sy feels sick, plane sick maybe? Or maybe just tired. Its difficult to communicate cause im the only one out of my family to learn thai and the thai people talk sooo fast! And its difficult to pick out what to say and how to pronounce it but the hotel staff were very polite. The one thing i didnt like was for the bathroom in our hotel room you closed a gate and it doesnt lock which felt awkward!

The view in bankok

This one to bangkok was the worst of them all, i was sick(when i dont get enough sleep i get sick) so i couldnt eat, i was hot then cold, and worst of all my stomach hadnt recovered from the previous plane sick from before, and the turbulance made it worse, but now i am all good
Zen and i are both plane sick:( tummies hurt 3/5 planes done so far! 6.5 more hours then we go to a hotel for 5 hours then get on a plane to maesot
We have to try to adjust to the new sleep schedule so we had to take melatonin to fall asleep on the 10hr plane. Its like sleeping all day and then when we get there we all have to have coffee or something caffinated to stay awake for the daytime when it should be our night time
